Dating from the 1950s, this pair of gas pump shaped salt and pepper shakers, still in the original box, was a free premium, given to Texaco gas customers. The salt shaker is a silver Sky Chief pump and the pepper is a red Fire Chief pump. The box is decorated with holly leaves and has a Texaco Star logo and the inscription “Merry Christmas from your Texaco dealer” on the front. The shakers measure about 2 5/8 inches tall by 1 1/8 inches wide and are in excellent condition with crazing on the decals. The box is missing 2 of its top flaps.
