We restored this gas pump to put in the front of our cabinet shop, but it turned out too nice, and we were afraid the thieves around here would make off with it. So we’re going to shelve that idea for now. As we had to put it together out of miscellaneous old gas pump parts we had, with some original, some reproduction, and some fabricated. But it looks great, and it will display beautifully on the outside of your home or business,, and where you don’t have to worry about it rusting down. We took extra care in that, as that is what we were going to do with it. We put a 25 watt bulb in the Texaco globe, and we used an LED “color changing bulb” over the acrylic glass cylinder, looks great in the dark. On the wire screen, we used a mixture blue/black paint, and this gives the appearance of making the clear acrylic cylinder look like it’s tinted blue. Also, there is NO pump mechanism inside the pump either. We will furnish a small amount of the paint we used, in case it gets scratched, also as to the name of the paint and brand.
