Hard to improve on this example, minor blemishes on the edges of the lenses, small enough that the band covers them up, minor chip to edge of the base of the Gill body, displays as nicely as any I’ve ever seen. This globe is a rarity 3 per the Globebook, which isn’t hugely rare, but always in demand. Rare original Gill body, these are the nicest looking bodies. Both lenses have a G on the bottom of the lenses, which indicates they are for a Gill body, and they are the more unusual size of 13.5″ as opposed to most of them being 13.25″. Body is for 13.5 lenses as well which attests to the likelihood that this is the original assembly. In my experience, the G on the lenses are usually seen on the older versions of the lenses. Add this one to your collection at a very attractive price point.
