When coins are inserted from the right side, the globe lamp lights up for about 10 seconds. Pressing the silver button on the right side opens a red door, playing 1950s music “TEXACO STAR THEME” (may play intermittently). Behind the door are a dial for gasoline price setting and a central odometer with a reset button. Turning the handle increases the odometer by 5 gallons with a clicking sound.
